Zach Johnson will be keen to become the fourth golfer to win the
Valero Texas Open a record three times after Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, and Arnold Palmer.
What to know about Johnson
The American golf legend is one of the most experienced golfers in the PGA Tour having turned professional in 1998 and he was the US captain at the 2023 Ryder Cup.
Johnson has won 26 professional tournaments including 15 PGA Tour events, 2007 Masters and the 2015 The Open Championship.

The 48-year-old has been out of action since took part in the 2024 Valspar Championship in Florida, USA where he missed the cut.
Johnson is placed 244th in the Official World Golf Rankings and his best overall ranking is sixth place.
Why Johnson is among the favourites
The 2020 Payne Stewart Award winner, who won the Valero Texas Open in 2008 and 2009, is the last player to repeat as champion and the third in tournament history.
Johnson joined Arnold Palmer and Justin Leonard after his back-to-back wins. He finished T13 in his last start at the Valero Texas Open in 2022.
