Spanish side Getafe and Netherlands giants PSV Eindhoven will headline the UEFA Europa League’s Group C and D action respectively.

The matches are part of 24 Matchday 2 fixtures in the group stage of the competition, spread across the evening of Thursday 3 October.



In Group C, co-leaders Getafe and Basel (Switzerland) will target wins away to Krasnodar (Russia) and Trabzonspor (Turkey) respectively, after opening their campaigns with home victories last month.

Basel’s 5-0 win over Krasnodar makes them the form team to watch, but they may find the going tough at Senol Gunes Stadium in Trabzon.



Group D sees PSV Eindhoven (fresh from a thrilling 3-2 win over Sporting last month) head to Norway for a tough clash against Rosenborg at Lerkendal Stadion.

The other game in Lisbon sees Sporting looking to bounce back with a win over Austria’s LASK, who beat Rosenborg 1-0 in Linz to be co-top of the log heading into this Thursday’s matches.
