Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets will clash in a
National Basketball Association (NBA) match at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, January 9.
This will be the 91st meeting between the two teams in the NBA since 1976. The 76ers have the edge in this rivalry having registered 51 wins compared to the Nuggets' 39 victories.
Their last meeting was on 11 December 2020 and the 76ers secured a 97-92 victory over the Nuggets at Wells Fargo Center.
The 76ers are sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference standings having recorded five victories and one defeat.
They overcame the Charlotte Hornets 118-101 in their last home game which took place on 5 January 2021.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets find themselves in 14th spot on the Western Conference standings having registered two wins and four defeats so far this season. They emerged 124-109 winners over Minnesota Timberwolves in their last away game which was played on 4 January 2021.
Michael Malone, the Nuggets head coach, says he prefers rotating his players as he trusts the depth in his squad.

“We’ll put the players out there and play as many as we need to or as little as we need to to get that respective win,” Malone said.
“Not only do we have a deep team, a talented team, but we have a lot of guys that I could throw out there and feel really comfortable with.
“So that’s a luxury that I have.”
