World No. 3 Cameron Young is hoping his consistent form over the last year will bear fruit at the
Masters from 9-12 April.
The American heads to Augusta fresh from his victory at the Players Championship, having carded a 13-under 275 to beat Matt Fitzpatrick by one stroke.
It was just the second PGA Tour win of Young's career after his maiden success at the Wyndham Championship in August 2025.
The 28-year-old achieved another two top 10s at the Genesis Invitational (T7) and the Arnold Palmer Invitational (T3) to rise to a career-high third in the OWGR.
Young believes his current ranking shows he is capable of competing for major honours as he prepares to make his fifth appearance at the Masters.
"I have no idea what the stats would say, but I feel like I've played really consistent golf over the course of almost the last year really," he said.
"It has been a long road to get to number three. I spent a lot of time between 15 and 20 over the course of the last few years and then had a big dip [at] the beginning of last year.
"So it has really been kind of a long march back up and to finally be, for the first time in my career, a top-10 player in the world is pretty cool - never mind top five.
"It's where I want to be. I feel like the golf I've played over the last year has really been good proof of that."
