Team Suzuki Ecstar's Alex Rins will look to continue his strong start to the
2022 MotoGP season in the sixth round at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, May 1.
The Spaniard hasn't finished lower than seventh in the opening five races and secured podium spots in the Argentine Grand Prix (P3) and the Grand Prix of the Americas (P2).

Rins is tied with reigning World Champion Fabio Quartararo on 69 points at the top of the riders' standings after a superb display in the Portuguese Grand Prix last weekend.
The 26-year-old started at the back of the grid in 23rd position, but a stunning opening lap saw him surge to 11th before eventually claming P4 at the chequered flag.

Rins revealed that no-one believed he could fight his way back to finish in the points and added that he tried to challenge Aprilia Racing's Aleix Espargaro for a place on the podium, but his front tyre had suffered too much wear and tear.
"Yes, sincerely it was a good race. We finished quite in the front, we took a lot of important points," he said. But for me it was a good race. I was believing [I could fight back] - not many people were believing in me that I could do a good race.
"But anyway, I tried till the end. When I tried to overtake Aleix [Espargaro] my front tyre was a little bit destroyed and I started to feel a big drop. So, I preferred to remain [behind], to stay fourth. Good points for the championship."
