Following favourable results in their latest La Liga assignments, Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid will now battle to keep their winning momentum alive when they meet at San Mames on Saturday.
Still unbeaten this season, Atletico Madrid will head into their next fixture sitting in third position with seven points from three matches.
Atleti got back to winning ways last time out, owing to a 3-1 away win over Sevilla this past weekend which came off the back of a 2-2 draw alongside Villareal in matchday two. Prior to their stalemate with Villareal, Atletico Madrid opened their season with 2-0 home win over Malaga.
Bilbao stuttered in their first two La Liga encounters, noting back-to-back losses against Sevilla and Barcelona respectively.
However, historic club bounced back in matchday three with a 2-0 away win over Celta Vigo on Sunday as they sit in 12th position currently.

Speaking after Atletico Madrid’s win over Sevilla, Diego Simeone enjoyed his side’s fight in winning the ball back en-route to collecting maximum points.
"We were fortunate to put in a very good performance,” Simeone said.
“The boys did an excellent job, both in winning the ball back and, in particular, in the transition when playing out.
“We knew Sevilla were coming off two very good results, with that eagerness that drives them to try to press high."
