Yet to fully come into his own during the 2026 MotoGP season, reigning champion Marc Marquez will now draw inspiration from his past exploits at the Aragon MotoGP as he prepares to create more history at the popular Spanish circuit.
After noting three podiums and three wins this season, Marquez accumulated 200 points in fourth position heading into the Aragon MotoGP this weekend.
Still 40 points behind leader Jorge Martin, Marquez recorded the most pole positions (3), including, the most sprint wins (4) during the 2026 MotoGP season while he could only manage a seventh place finish at the British MotoGP last time out.
Nonetheless, Marquez is the undisputed king of the Aragon MotoGP, boasting seven wins at MotoLand Aragon throughout his career, including four consecutive victories between 2016 and 2019.

In his assessment of the Silverstone event, the seven-time MotoGP champion conceded that his performance was below expectations and that he failed to manage his tyre wear in an efficient manner.
“We knew that this weekend might have been more challenging than usual,” Marquez said.
“I was quick on a couple of occasions but not over the race distance, and today I didn’t manage the tyre wear well. We couldn’t find the right speed and, in the end, we did a bit worse than expected.
“We’re working on being consistent and competitive on the less favourable tracks, but we know it’s impossible to always have the perfect bike.”
