Max Homa and Collin Morikawa will be among the favourite teams to win the
2023 Zurich Classic of New Orleans title.
What to know about Morikawa and Homa
Morikawa has five PGA Tour wins – including two major championships, the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship, winning both on his debut.
His teammate and American compatriot Homa has won six times on the PGA Tour including two Wells Fargo Championships and two Fortinet Championships.
Both Morikawa and Homa played collegiately at University of California-Berkeley, which was one reason they chose to pair together at the Zurich Classic.

Homa is coming into this year's Zurich Classic having missed the cut at the recent 2023 RBC Heritage with Matt Fitzpatrick of England winning the tournament.
Morikawa, on the other hand, finished 31st at the RBC Heritage which took place at the Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA.
Why are they among the favourites
Currently ranked seventh and 13th respectively on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), Homa and Morikwa have what it takes to win the Zurich Classic.
Homa has been in good form in the current 2022-23 PGA Tour season having clinched the 2022 Fortinet Championship and 2023 Farmers Insurance Open.
While Morikawa posted a second in the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions to start the new year and a third in the 2023 Farmers Insurance Championship.

“They were teammates on last year’s Presidents Cup squad, and both have solid team experience, so we would expect big things from them.
“Max is the fourth player ranked in the top ten in the world to commit to play the Zurich Classic this year, and we already have two more in the top 15," he continued.
