Aprilia Racing's Maverick Vinales has the team believing again as he goes into the
Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, April 28, having made MotoGP history in Austin, Texas.
The Spaniard became the first rider to win a race with three different manufacturers (Suzuki, Yamaha and Aprilia) when he put on a show for the ages in the Grand Prix of the Americas.
Vinales, who also won the sprint on the Circuit of the Americas, started in pole position but dropped to ninth by the end of lap 1 after being pushed off the track by Ducati Lenovo Team's Francesco Bagnaia as they went into Turn 1.

However, the 29-year-old rider quickly knuckled down and carved his way through the field to regain the lead on lap 13, fending off Red Bull GasGas Tech3's Pedro Acosta to claim his first win since the 2021 Qatar Grand Prix.
'Batmav' moved up to third in the riders' standings on 56 points, three behind Ducati Lenovo Team's Enea Bastianini and a further 21 adrift of Prima Pramac Racing's Jorge Martin.

"I feel like I am in Gotham City! I said yesterday I'm honestly dreaming and we must dream, we must believe, we must have confidence," Vinales said. "Closing this circle, it's fantastic, it gives a lot of drive to continue working that hard.
"Obviously it's not easy, it's been a long, long night [of] thinking and over-thinking what I have to do to be back to winning races [and] finally I did.
"I'm super happy to never give up and keep the focus and also make everyone around me believe that I have enough talent and enough dedication to be fighting for this."
