2026 MotoGP World Championship
Round 4: Estrella Galicia 0,0 Grand Prix of Spain
Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, Jerez de la Frontera
24-26 April
Aprilia Racing’s Jorge Martin’s will target his first full-length Estrella Galicia 0,0 Grand Prix of Spain victory when the fourth round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship is held at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto on the weekend of 24 to 26 April.
Martin, the 2024 MotoGP World Champion, has made a bright start to the 2026 season, finishing all six races (three Sprints and three Grands Prix) inside the top five – with the highlight being a Sprint race victory at the Grand Prix of the Americas in Texas last time out.

This has left Martin in second place on the Riders’ standings, trailing leader and Aprilia factory teammate Marco Bezzecchi by just four points. The 28-year-old Spaniard is returning to peak form and fitness after a nightmare 2025 in which multiple injuries scuppered his hopes of defending the Riders’ title.
And what better way to signal that he is truly back to his best than to win the Spanish GP for the first time? Martin has won one Sprint race (in 2024) at Jerez in the premier class, but his best full-length finish is fourth place in 2023. Given Aprilia’s early dominance, matching that will be the very least Martin expects.

“I'm not thinking about the championship… I'm taking it race by race,” explained Martin. “Going through two or three races under the radar, continuing to score points. Fifth, eighth… whatever comes next will be good.”
He also insists that Ducati will bring the fight to him and Bezzecchi in the next round: “In Jerez, everything will return to normal; Ducati will be back to normal. I don't want to force things. The end of the season is usually my time, but I don't want to rush it.”
