2025-26 Spanish La Liga
Matchday 30
Real Betis v Espanyol
Estadio Olimpico de la Cartuja
Seville, Spain
Saturday, 4 April 2026
Kick-off is at 16h30
Real Betis will be desperate to turn their ailing form in La Liga around when Espanyol visit La Cartuja on Saturday, April 4.
El Glorioso looked a shoo-in for the Europa League berth at one stage after losing just three games before the turn of the year.
But Manuel Pellegrini's side have won just four of their 12 outings in 2026 to open the door for Celta Vigo (6th) and potentially Real Sociedad (7th), Getafe (8th) and Athletic Bilbao (9th) in the race finish fifth.
A 2-1 defeat to the Lions on March 22 extended Betis' winless run to five matches, but the gap to the Sky Blues still stands at three points after they too lost against Alaves.

The Parakeets' European challenge has fallen off a cliff after failing to win any of their 12 games this year.
Manolo Gonzalez's side have collected just four points out of a possible 36 and back-to-back 2-1 defeats against Real Mallorca and Getafe most recently have pushed them down to 11th in the standings.
The Catalan outfit were beaten 2-1 in the reverse fixture at the RCDE Stadium on October 5 which made it four wins in a row for Betis.

Gonzalez rued the mistakes against the Azulones which led to them conceding twice in first-half stoppage time, but he has called on his squad to stay positive as they look to stop the rot in Seville.
"We did many things to win and one thing very badly, which led to us losing the match. We created attacking situations and we ended up losing because of two actions of our own doing," he said.
"The team believe in the work that we're doing. At half-time we tried to re-organise the team to attack better. With Roberto [Fernandez] coming on, we were looking for more shots from inside the box, which we were finding, and also actions down the right side. The mistakes punished us.
"We have to stay positive, think about the next match and prepare the team as well as possible. We have to win, compete at the highest level and do everything well. We have to turn things around and change the situation."
