Atalanta will face off with Sassuolo in a Serie A match at the Gewiss Stadium on January 3.
The Goddess' were held to a 2-2 draw by Bologna away in their previous league game which was played on December 23.
The draw extended Atalanta's unbeaten run in the league to four matches, having registered two draws and two victories since losing to Verona.
The Goddess' are also unbeaten in their last two matches at home in Serie A having registered two consecutive wins.
Meanwhile, Sassuolo secured a 3-2 win over Sampdoria away in their previous league game which was played on December 23.
Prior to the clash with Sampdoria, the Black and Greens were winless in two league matches.
Sassuolo are undefeated in their last seven away matches in Serie A having registered two draws and five victories.
Roberto De Zerbi, the Sassuolo manager, says January is a crucial month for his team as they look to maintain their good form.
"We have to arrive determined in January because for us it will be a decisive month, a large part of the season passes from there," De Zerbi said.
The last meeting between Atalanta and Sassuolo in the league was on 21 June 2020. Atalanta recorded an emphatic 4-1 victory over Sassuolo in a match which was played at the Gewiss Stadium.
