Suzuki rider Joan Mir will be keen to get his defence of the MotoGP world title back on track when he competes at the
British MotoGP.
The Spanish star will be making his maiden appearance in the British MotoGP having missed the 2019 race due to injury.
Mir narrowly missed out on a podium spot in the most recent race in the current campaign which was the Austrian MotoGP where he finished fourth on August 15.

The 2021 Austrian MotoGP saw Brad Binder of KTM secure his second win since he was promoted to the premier class last season.
The South African rider was followed by the Ducati duo of Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin, who finished second and third respectively.
Fabio Quartararo of Yamaha is still placed at the top of the 2021 Riders' standings, while Bagnaia is now placed second on the standings.
Mir remains third on the standings and he will move up to second place if he wins the British MotoGP title.

“I think that we must win two or three races to get the championship,” Mir, who only one once in the 2020 season on his way to the title, said after the Austrian MotoGP.
“Now it’s better races coming for us, more favourable and I think we will get the opportunity in some races. But the important thing again is to stay on the bike, like this race, to continue improving, the bike also and for sure to win races.
“It will be the key, I think we will need to win a minimum two races to win the title. I would be surprised if we didn’t need it.”
Ducati are placed at the top of Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Yamaha and KTM respectively.
