US Sassuolo will play host to defending champions AC Milan in an Italian
Serie A match at the MAPEI Stadium on August 30.
The Black and Greens managed to hold Spezia Calcio to a 2-2 draw away in their previous league game which was played on August 27.
As a result, Sassuolo are undefeated in their last two matches in this competition having recorded one draw and one victory.

The Black and Greens defeated US Lecce in their last game at home in Serie A and the win ended their four-match winless run at the MAPEI Stadium.
Meanwhile, Milan secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Bologna FC at home in their previous league game which was played on August 27.

“I must say that playing in front of our fans is special, it gives us a passion that we try to transform into energy on the pitch," Milan manager Stefano Pioli said after their win over Bologna.
"The team is more aware and mature on the pitch but I think we can do even better, even tonight we forced the depth. The team played at a great pace, I am satisfied knowing that we can still grow a lot.
“I’m delighted with [Junior] Messias and [Alexis] Saelemaekers. We have our own balances that require the winger to try to be dangerous but do a dirty job. Always be balanced, on the right I feel okay with the players I have.”
The last meeting between Sassuolo and Milan in the league was on 22 May 2022.
Milan thrashed Sassuolo 3-0 in a match that was played at the Mapei Stadium which was played at the Città del Tricolore.
