Scottie Scheffler will be eager to consolidate his spot at the top of the Official World Golf Rankings by winning the 2022
Northern Trust.
The American star has been the standout performer in the 2021-22 PGA Tour season having impressively won four tournaments.
The 2021-22 FedExCup regular season concluded this past weekend at the Wyndham Championship with Scheffler being the big winner.

The 2020 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year claimed the number one position in the Comcast Business Tour top 10 and earned himself a $4 million bonus - beating Cameron Smith to the prize.
Scheffler won the WM Phoenix Open on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff against Patrick Cantlay in February this year and it was his maiden title on the PGA Tour.
Three weeks later, Scheffler won his second career PGA Tour title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational before clinching the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin, Texas March this year.
The New Jersey-born golfer clinched the Masters' Tournament, defeating Rory McIlroy by three strokes four months ago - his maiden major title win.
