Jorge Martin will be eager to put pressure on his MotoGP world title rival, Francesco Bagnaia by winning the Austrian MotoGP.

The Ducati Prima Pramac Racing rider missed out on a podium spot at the recent 2023 British MotoGP as he finished sixth on August 6.
Martin, who is best known for winning the 2018 Moto3 World Championship with Gresini Racing, started seventh on the grid and managed to finish sixth in Silverstone.
2022 Austrian MotoGP
The Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer finished 10th at the 2022 Austrian MotoGP having started fourth on the grid.
His best performance in this event came in 2021 as he secured a podium - finishing third behind Bagnaia and race winner Brad Binder.
Why Martin could win the 2023 Austrian MotoGP
The 2014 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup champion is placed second on the riders' standings and he looks like a serious contender for the MotoGP world title.
Martin won this season's German MotoGP and he will be hoping to register his second victory of the season at the Ring Bull Ring.
What did he say?
"Brad Binder pushed me and when I found the track, I was the last one. The incident was very unfortunate," Martin said when reflecting on the 2023 British MotoGP.
"I stayed cool and got to work. I was careful with my tires because I knew it would pay off. I still scored valuable points with sixth place... at the next Grand Prix in Spielberg, I would like to have my say on the podium again
“I was sandwiched between Jorge and Luca Marini in that first corner. I’m sorry it ruined his run. But I was not lucky enough to get out of this situation without colliding. Parts of my motorcycle also exploded," he added.
"I have no idea what it was but it obviously didn’t have a major impact on my performance.“
