RCD Espanyol will be keen to hand Real Madrid a losing start to their La Liga season when they meet at the RCDE Stadium on 22 August.

The last La Liga meeting between the two sides ended with Real Madrid claiming a 2-0 win at the RCDE Stadium on 3 May.
In La Liga the two clubs have met 180 times: Madrid have won 110, Espanyol have won 37, with 33 draws.
Team News
Espanyol are expected to be without Javi Puado, who is still recovering from ACL surgery on his right knee earlier this year.
Furthermore, Kike García is sidelined with tendon damage in his right leg following recent surgery.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, will be without Rodrygo, who is recovering from a long-term ACL injury, as well as Ferland Mendy and Raúl Asencio, both dealing with thigh issues.
