Marc Marquez will be confident of building on his recent form by delivering a strong result at the British MotoGP.

Marquez produced a dominant performance at the German MotoGP at Sachsenring on 12 July, completing a perfect weekend with pole position, Sprint victory and Grand Prix win.
It was his tenth MotoGP victory at the circuit, equalling a long-standing premier-class record for most wins at a single track, and lifted him firmly back into title contention.

The man nicknamed the Ant of Cervera (or Atomic Ant / Si Semut Cervera) sits third in the 2026 MotoGP Riders’ standings with 190 points.
Marquez trails championship leader Jorge Martín by just 18 points and with Ai Ogura second on 194.

The Ant of Cervera has already secured three wins in 2026, including a recent perfect weekend in Germany and he knows what it takes to win the British MotoGP, having won it in 2014.
With only 24 points covering the top five, Marquez arrives at Silverstone with strong momentum and the clear aim of converting that form into another victory and further closing the championship gap.

“The goal for the weekend was to attack in order to recover as many points as possible. We managed to do so on a track that suits my riding style very well," Marquez said after winning the 2026 German MotoGP.
"I'm happy, but not completely happy: I would have loved to see Alex (Márquez) on the podium given the pace he had. Now it's time for the summer break. I'd like to rest because this first half of the season was very demanding, but at the same time we need to make a step forward with my right arm.
"Maybe some people have forgotten because the results have been good, but the difference between left- and right-hand corners is huge.”
