After falling behind to the likes of Jordan Wessels and Wandre Snyman, England’s Daniel Smith will once again target a high finish at the Big Easy Tour 7 as he continues his remarkable run this season.
As one of the front runners on the Betway Big Easy Tour this year, Smith currently holds third position on the Order of Merit table with an impressive 567.36 points tally after eight tournaments.
In what was his most challenging showing this season, Smith could only manage a 50th placing at the Betway Blu Label Unlimited Invitational 3 at the Ruimsig Country Club in July, leaving the showpiece empty-handed.
However, Smith boasts a string of top-10 finishes on the tour so far, the most impressive being his win at the Betway Big Easy Tour 5 at the Akasia Golf Club in early July.
Other than a runner-up spot at the Betway Big Easy Blu Label Unlimited Invitational 2, Smith came in fourth position at the Big Easy Tour 1 & 4 this year.
Sandwiched in between, Smith also took to the Wanderers Golf Club for the the Betway Big Easy Tour 3 in June where finished in T6 amid an impressive run at the top of the pile.
With 16 career Eagles and 76 Birdies, Smith is also a top earner among his peers, having gathered R44 345 in prize money so far.
