2020/21 UEFA Champions League

Round of 16
Second-Leg

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) v FC Barcelona

Kick-Off 20h00

FC Barcelona will travel to the Parc des Princes where they are scheduled to face Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on March 10.

The Spanish giants suffered an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to PSG in the first-leg encounter at Camp Nou on February 16.

Lionel Messi converted the opener from the penalty spot and the goal proved to a consolation for Barcelona.

The Argentine superstar has now scored in the Champions League for the 17th consecutive calendar year (2005-2021).

Messi equalled Spanish football legend Raul Gonzalez’s record (1995-2011) which he achieved while playing Real Madrid and Schalke 04.

Barcelona will be looking to Messi to lead them to victory which would see them overturn the deficit and advance to the quarter-finals.

Ronald Koeman, the Barcelona manager, is hopeful that they can defeat PSG in France and progress to the next round.

"If I was someone who gets happy when we win and then after a result like today said I had no desire to continue, that would be crazy," Koeman said.

"I know where I am and what we have to change. We're trying. We're not at the end of the path yet, we're halfway down it.

"We lack things, sure, but I have never thought before this game that we didn't. It's not the end of the path. It seems I am more realistic than everyone else."

Meanwhile, PSG star Kylian Mbappe's hat-trick against Barcelona thrust him into third in the highest-scoring French players in the Champions League knockout phase.

The French attacker has netted ten goals and only Thierry Henry (12) and Karim Benzema (18) have scored more.

The French champions will once again look to Mbappe when they lock horns with a wounded Barcelona side in Paris.

The last time PSG hosted Barcelona in the Champions League was on 14 February 2017.

PSG thumped PSG 4-0 in a Round of 16 first-leg encounter which was played at the Parc des Princes.
