The Portuguese giants are unbeaten in the league in 21 matches this season, a remarkable run that sees them sitting two points clear of bitter rivals Benfica with a game in hand over them and are aiming for their first win against the five-time European champions who have suffered two defeats in their last five in all competitions which also saw them crash out of the FA Cup to West Bromwich Albion.

Arguably the greatest match-up in the knockout round of 16 pits the star-studded Parisian side against the most successful team in UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid, for the second time in three seasons after the pair clashed in the group stages of the competition in 2015/16. Los Blancos have been far from their brilliant best in 2017/18 and find themselves a whopping 17 points behind Barcelona as their bid to defend their La Liga title has crumbled.
