The Hawks are hovering in mid-table in the Eastern Conference, with this past weekend bringing them an impressive 132-100 away win over the Memphis Grizzlies in which Trae Young racked up 31 points and 10 assists.

“We did a good job of moving the ball and getting the ball to the open guys,” Atlanta coach Nate McMillan said. “And our guys were knocking down shots.”
He added, “I thought our defence was doing a really good job of making it hard for them to score. That third quarter, we kind of opened up things with limiting them to one shot and getting out in transition.”
The 76ers have a comparable record in the East to their upcoming opponents, though Philadelphia were firmly put in their place last week when they were comprehensively outplayed by the Golden State Warriors, who claimed a 116-96 victory in San Francisco.

Philadelphia coach Doc Rivers will be looking to Matisse Thybulle to put up more impressive defensive performances to boost the 76ers going forward: “You see what you see,” said Rivers.
“I think he’s athletic. He has great instincts. I would say that the No. 1 key for him is recovery time. He’s a quick jumper, Dennis Rodman-ish. There’s certain guys that can get off the floor quicker than other guys, and he’s one of those guys.”
In head-to-head stats, the Hawks and the 76ers have met in 388 Regular Season games since 1949-50, with Philadelphia claiming 197 wins compared to 191 for Atlanta. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in October 2021, with the 76ers winning 122-94 at home (for a third straight victory over the Hawks) thanks to 22 points from Tobias Harris.
