Milwaukee Bucks v Brooklyn Nets

2021-22 NBA Regular Season

Sunday 27 February 2022

Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Tip-off at 01:30

The Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets will have a major showdown in the NBA Regular Season, meeting at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the morning of Sunday 27 February 2022. Tip-off is at 01:30.

The Bucks are very much in the fight to finish at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, with Milwaukee hoping to oust the likes of the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers.

Milwaukee will, as ever, look to key man Giannis Antetokounmpo for inspiration, with his recent 50-point haul against the Indiana Pacers underlining why he is regarded as one of, if not the best player in the NBA today.

Obviously, it’s a nice feeling to have 50, you’ll always remember it, but I care about the win. I want to win games,” Antetokounmpo said. “As long as we’re winning, I’m good. You do whatever it takes. If you are thinking about let me get to 50, let me get mine, it doesn’t work that way. You have to focus on winning games.”

The Nets were right up there as far as the Eastern Conference leaders were concerned earlier in the season, but now they look in danger of missing out on a direct place in the Playoffs. Their recent roster shake-up made headlines, but newcomer Seth Curry is keen to just get on with the task of winning games and driving Brooklyn up the standings.

“I’m ready to make the most of the opportunity. I’m optimistic about it. Obviously a lot of talent here, a lot of guys who love the game and know how to play, a great coaching staff and organisation. I’m used to coming in and trying to fit in right away,” said Curry.

In head-to-head stats, the Bucks and the Nets have met in 181 Regular Season games since 1976-77, with Milwaukee claiming 106 wins compared to 75 for Brooklyn. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in January 2022, with the Bucks beating the Nets 121-109 away for a fourth successive win in the rivalry. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 31 points in the game.
