Golden State Warriors will square off with the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association (NBA) match on February 25.
This will be the 229 meeting between the two teams in regular-season games since the 1967/68 season which was the Rockets' first campaign in the NBA.
The Rockets have the upper hand in this rivalry having registered 126  wins compared to the Warriors' 102 victories from 228 matches.
Last Meeting 
The Warriors defeated the Rockets, 120-101 and they were led by Andrew Wiggins' season-high 36 points (8-10 3pt FG) on 4 December 2022.
The result saw the Warriors improve to 13-11, while the Rockets fall to 6-17 following the game which was played at the Chase Center.
What Is At Stake 
The Warriors, who are playoffs hopefuls, have slipped down to the ninth spot on the Western Conference standings having recorded 29 victories and 29 defeats.
While the Rockets are struggling in the Western Conference as they are placed 15th on the standings having registered 13 wins and 45 defeats. 
Key Players
Stephen Curry recorded 30 points (8-17 3pt FG) and 10 assists for the Warriors as they defeated the Rockets last December and he remains an influential player for the champions. 
On the other hand, Kevin Porter Jr. tallied 20 points, four assists and two steals for the Rockets in the losing effort and he will be eager to ensure that his side gets its revenge.

"Donte played I think the final 18 minutes of the game straight. His energy was infectious, he just plays so hard," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said about the team's new star Donte DiVincenzo.
"It's easy to see why our fans have fallen in love with him because of how hard he plays. He's fearless and I thought he set a great tone during that stretch. Donte was fantastic again. 
"He's had such a great stretch now over the last six, eight weeks. He just competes. He's just a guard. He's not a point guard, not a two-guard. He's just a basketball player."
