Matchday 28

Liverpool v West Ham United

Anfield

Liverpool, England

Saturday, 28 February 2026

Kick-off is at 15:00

Liverpool FC will be targeting their third successive Premier League victory when they host West Ham United at Anfield on 28 February.

Current Form

The Reds claimed a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest away on 22 February and they are now unbeaten in their last two matches in the English top-tier.

However, Liverpool lost to Manchester City in their last home game in the Premier League and the loss ended their six-match unbeaten run at Anfield.

Meanwhile, West Ham were held to a 0-0 draw by AFC Bournemouth at home on 21 February and they are undefeated in their last three matches in the league.

However, the Hammers have won two of their last three away matches in the Premier League, while the other game ended in a defeat.

Team News

Liverpool currently have Wataru Endo, Jeremie Frimpong, Conor Bradley, Alexander Isak, Giovanni Leoni and Stefan Bajcetic sidelined, and no active first-team suspensions.

West Ham, on the other hand, currently have Pablo Felipe, Lukasz Fabianski, and Freddie Potts sidelined due to injuries, and Jean-Clair Todibo recently returned from suspension.

Quotes

"We need to analyse [the game] during the week but the first half wasn't good at all," Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister said after scoring the winner against Forest.

"Positioning, intensity, pressing - nothing was good. Well, maybe how we defended our box, because we blocked some shots. "But it was not good and it was not our standards.

"In the second half, I wouldn't say it was good, but it was a little bit better. We had some chances and the most important thing is that we won the game."

Head-to-Head

Liverpool emerged as 2-0 winners over West Ham in their last Premier League meeting, which was at the London Stadium in November 2025.

As a result, the Reds are unbeaten in their eight league games against the Hammers, having registered seven wins and one draw.
