World No. 15 Jordan Spieth makes a quick return to Hawaii as he competes at the
Sony Open for the fifth time in his career.
The American played at the Sentry Tournament of Champions on the island of Maui last week and finished eight shots behind winner Jon Rahm to be tied for 13th place.

Spieth last featured at the tournament in 2019, when he failed to make the cut, while his best finish of third came two years earlier.
The 29-year-old claimed the 13th PGA Tour title of his career with victory at the RBC Heritage in April 2022 and he came up just short at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and AT&T Byron Nelson, finishing second on both occasions.

Spieth was asked whether missing putts from short range bothered him after a couple of such incidents at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
"No, I think that, like out here you get quite a few inside of five feet I think that you'll miss more here than other places just on under reading and under hitting it with not enough speed," he said.
"So I missed one yesterday where I just rushed it. And then today I missed like a 3-footer where I actually hit, I like over trusted it. I was like, I know that this putt is a left edge putt, which is unusual from three feet for us, and it has to have speed and I just ripped it right through off the left lip.
"So if I hit a really bad, tentative stroke on it, then it really pisses me off. But when I put a good stroke on it it's like, all right, I can move on. And today that was the case."
