However it was the Kings who emerged victorious in the last meeting between the two teams which was on 10 February 2022 at the Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento, California, USA.

Harrison Barnes scored 30 points, Domantas Sabonis had 22 points and 14 rebounds in his Kings debut as Sacramento pulled away late to beat the Timberwolves 132-119.

The Timberwolves are placed ninth on the Western Conference standings having recorded 24 victories and 25 defeats from 49 matches.

While the Kings are occupying the third spot on the Western Conference standings having registered 27 wins and 19 defeats from 46 matches.

The Kings defeated Memphis Grizzlies 133-100 on Tuesday, January 24 and Sabonis finished with 14 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for his sixth triple-double of the season.

“Everyone’s excited, everyone’s hungry. We all feel like we have chips on our shoulder and we have something to prove," Sabonis said.

"More, I feel like, individually as a team than in the past, with what’s been going on with this franchise. To be part of something special, you’re trying to build, create some big changes.

"That’s why I was traded here. To try and change this franchise around. They did a great job this summer of bringing in pieces and a head coach and it’s been working.”
