Ghana will square off with Cape Verde in the

The Black Stars were held to a 0-0 draw by Namibia in a friendly match on 8 January and they are winless in their last two matches across all competitions.
Ghana are also winless in their last four matches in the AFCON finals having recorded three defeats and one draw during the 2021 edition in Cameroon.

West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus has joined the Ghana camp after recovering from an injury.
Veteran players Ryan Mendes and goalkeeper Vozinha will return for a fourth AFCON after being named in the final Cape Verde squad.

“However, we will do all of our homework, over these coming months, [and] watch their games from now, and before the tournament starts.
"But I think whenever a group comes out, you always think that it could have been better for us, and could have been worse for us."
