Third in the west meets third in the east this
NBA weeekend when Denver Nuggets welcome Philadelphia 76ers to the Ball Arena on the morning of Sunday, January 28.
The Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder are putting pressure on Western Conference leaders Minnesota Timberwolves in the race to finish as top seeds for the playoffs.
Michael Malone's team are just 0.5 games back against the Timberwolves after beating Washington Wizards 113-104 on January 22 to make it two wins on the spin.
Nikola Jokic led the way against the Wizards, shooting 15 of 20 from the field as he posted 42 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

Malone paid tribute to the five-time NBA All-Star and admitted the fans that chanted "M-V-P! M-V-P!" in the final minutes of the game were acknowledging a legend.
"Nikola was phenomenal tonight from beginning to end," Malone said. "He continues to illustrate why he's the player that he is.
"I think it's just recognizing greatness. Here's a guy who was a two-time MVP as a second-round draft pick that brought a franchise its first world championship in history, and he's a Finals MVP as well."
NBA fans witnessed history in the making when the Sixers saw off San Antonio Spurs 133-123 on January 23 to extend their winning streak to six games.
Joel Embiid scored a franchise-high 70 points and also had a career-best 18 rebounds as he eclipsed the previous record of 68 held by Sixers legend Wilt Chamberlain.

Embiid tied his career-high 59 points from the 3-point line in the third quarter and felt he could have done better after shooting 24 of 41 from the field.
"I was actually mad at myself because I missed a lot of easy shots that I've been making all season," the reigning NBA MVP said.
"Obviously, Wilt accomplished a lot of things. To be in the same conversation is pretty cool. It was just a great night. Had it going. They just kept giving me the ball and I just finished it."
