2025 Africa Cup of Nations
Semi-finals
Nigeria v Morocco
Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium
Rabat, Morocco
Wednesday, 14 January 2026
Kick-off is at 20h00
Nigeria will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent record in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations when they go head-to-head with hosts Morocco at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the semi-finals on Wednesday, January 14.
The Super Eagles are the only team remaining to have won all of their matches in the tournament after they ended Algeria's perfect run with a 2-0 victory in the quarter-finals.
Eric Chelle's side, who were losing finalists in the 2023 edition, are seeking their first title since 2023 and they're considered the favourites to lift the trophy for the fourth time on January 18 after plundering 14 goals in Morocco.

The West African giants beat Tanzania (2-1), Tunisia (3-2) and Uganda (3-1) in the group stages before dispatching Mozambique (4-0) in the round of 16.
But the Atlas Lions have the upper hand as the host nation, while they're also leading 3-2 in head-to-head match-ups on Africa's biggest stage and ran out narrow 1-0 victors in the last meeting between the two teams at AFCON 2004.

Chelle expressed pride in his players for their performance against the Fennecs and is targeting more of the same when they come face-to-face with the Moroccans, but acknowledges the pressure will be immense.
"The Nigerian players are very happy, and I am extremely proud of them. We really enjoyed the match," he said in the post-match press conference.
"I have worked a lot since taking over my role with the Nigerian national team; we put in a lot of effort during preparations. My vision has been implemented in the Nigerian team, and we must continue working in this manner.

"The victory we achieved against Algeria was deserved. The match was fantastic, and I am very happy with the win. After this match, we have another game, and we will prepare for it.
"Morocco is a strong team, and there will be pressure in front of the host nation. The best team will win. I am proud that we will face Morocco, and I hope it will be a good match, with the best team winning."
