Serie AMatchday 22
AS Roma vs AC Milan
Stadio Olimpico
Rome, Italy
Sunday, 25 January 2025
Kick-off is at 19:45
Among many top-quality Serie A fixtures set for this weekend, all eyes will be on AS Roma and AC Milan when they square off at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
With European places up for grabs, Milan will go into the next match in second place with 46 points to their name, three points behind log leaders Inter Milan. Roma on the other hand are in fourth position, with 42 points accumulated so far.
Milan claimed a 1-0 victory over Lecce at San Siro on Sunday, with Niclas Fullkrug’s 76th minute header separating the two clubs at the popular football ground.
Roma produced a 2-0 win against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, with new signing Donyell Malen and the experienced Paulo Dybala combining to secure the maximum points on their own patch.
Regarding their form, Milan jotted down three wins and two draws in their previous five Serie A ties while Roma gathered four wins and one loss during the same period.

As Milan continues their charge at the top end of the league table, coach Massimiliano Allegri reiterated that qualifying for the UEFA Champions League remains at the top of his priority list.
“When we’re mathematically in the top four [When asked if he would stop saying that Milan’s goal is fourth place],” Allegri said, following Milan’s win over Lecce.
There’s still time. Today, I repeat, the Champions League threshold is 74 points, while the Scudetto is at 86–88. Juventus is fifth with 39 points, averaging two points per game, so after 17 matches they reach 73.
“If they get more than two points per game, the Champions League threshold rises. We’ll see with time, but for now this is the target for the Champions League.”
