Henrik Stenson will be determined to win the
Open Championship for the second time when he competes in England.
The Swedish star won the 2016 tournament at Royal Troon with a major championship record score of 264.
Stenson held the 54-hole lead going into the final round with a margin of one stroke over Phil Mickelson and it remains his only major title triumph.
His list of wins also includes some of the other most prestigious tournaments around the world like the Players Championship and WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, Dubai.
In 2013, Stenson won the U.S PGA Tour's FedEx Cup and the European Tour's Race to Dubai, thus becoming the first player to win both and to win the season finales of both tours.
However, the 45-year-old is currently enduring a four-year trophy drought having won his last professional tournament in 2017 when he clinched the Wyndham Championship.
Stenson broke the aggregate scoring record at the Wyndham Championship (258), en route to winning the tournament by one stroke over Ollie Schniederjans.

The two-time Race to Dubai winner says winning the 2016 Open Championship was good for his career.
“It makes it even better that I beat a competitor like Phil. He is one of the best ever to play this game," Stenson said.
“I feel very privileged to be the one with this trophy. So many great Swedish players have tried and there have been so many close calls."
Harry Vardon is the most decorated player in the history of The Open Championship having won six titles, while South Africa's Ernie Els has won the tournament twice.
