After claiming his fourth win on the 2025 F1 calendar at the
British Grand Prix last time out, Lando Norris will once again hope to push the pace at Spa this coming weekend.
Norris was a cut above the rest at Silverstone on 6 July and managed to finish +6.821s ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri at his home ground.
However, Piastri often got one over Norris throughout the campaign, given the Australian’s five wins in 12 outings so far.
The last time McLaren-Mercedes took to the world-renowned Spa race track, Norris could only manage P5, while Piastri ended the race in P6.
Speaking after his P1 finish at Silverstone, Norris reserved special praises for his adoring fans who lovingly cheered him on from the stands.
"Since that day, I have thought, 'What is it like to stand on the top step at home in front of the British fans?'" Norris said.
"It genuinely is the first one I watched on TV, many, many years ago - one of the best races ever, and a lot of what I remember is the fans, the cheers and the noise. Now I’ve gotten to live that.
"[On the final lap] I was thinking of that, while at the same time, looking up at the grandstands all around the circuit, trying to take in the feeling.
"Monaco was very special and cool, but I've always said the one I wanted to win more than any was Silverstone, because of the fans.
After 12 races, Norris has earned top spot on the Drivers ranking on 234 points, well ahead of reigning world champion Max Verstappen who sits with 165 points in third position.
