What to know about MacIntyre
The Scotsman turned professional in 2017 after representing Scotland in the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy and played in the 2017 Walker Cup as an amateur.
MacIntyre has so far won five professional tournaments including two PGA Tour events and three European Tour wins, while also finishing second in the 2025 US Open.

The 2019 European Tour Graduate of the Year took a break from professional golf after competing in the Travellers Championship in Connecticut, USA, where he finished 17th.
MacIntyre is currently placed 14th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is 12th.
Why MacIntyre is among the favourites
The 28-year-old will be returning to the Renaissance Club where he won the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open with a birdie on the final hole to beat Adam Scott by one shot.
MacIntyre will be looking to replicate the same form this week, having secured top 10 finishes at this season's Charles Schwab Challenge, The Players Championship and WM Phoenix Open.

"I had a tear in my eye before I hit the putt. I was getting emotional before I read the putt. I still had a job to do. This was the one I wanted, and it was the one I got. I can't believe it's happened," MacIntyre said after winning the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open.
"How do I come down from this? I don't think I will. I think I'm just going to try to ride the wave. The Open means a lot to me but you've got to celebrate the good times because it doesn't happen a lot."
