Lee Hodges will be one of four former champions to take to the course at the
3M Open which starts on Thursday, July 24.
The American, who is ranked No. 121 in the world, won the title by a runaway seven strokes in 2023 after carding an impressive 24-under 260.
It was Hodges' first PGA Tour win of his career, although his trophy defence ended in disappointment last year when he failed to make the cut.
The 30-year-old golfer has achieved three-top-10 finishes out of the 17 tournaments he's competed in this year, with his best performances coming in the Farmers Insurance Open (T9) and the Canadian Open (T9).
Hodges was sidelined for six weeks in late February after suffering a freak injury during the Cognizant Classic and he recently revealed how he ended up suffering a broken rib at the hotel.
"I broke it the Monday of Cognizant at the hotel, and then I had six weeks off," he said. "I got off to a pretty good start and got hurt.
"It's the first injury I've ever dealt with in my entire life. So I feel myself lucky in that sense. It is what it is.
"I was running up some stairs, and I tripped and fell. I had my book bag on, and I had my hands on my book bag, so I couldn't really brace myself. When I reached out, it was too late. The stair caught me right here and fractured my second rib."
