On the back of an eventful year for Cameron Young, the 29-year-old American will now hope for success at the
2026 Rocket Classic after finishing the tournament as a runner-up in 2022.
Currently ranked third in the world, Young will enter the showpiece as a top contender alongside the likes of Russell Henley, Aldrich Potgieter and Chris Gotterup.
Young boasts an impressive career as an amateur, particularly after he burst onto the scene in 2015, where he took home the U.S. Collegiate Championship, Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational and MGA Ike Stroke Play Championship titles.
While Young claimed the 2016 MGA Ike Stroke Play Championship as well, the New York Born golfer saw out 2019 in stunning fashion by winning the General Hackler Invitational, Augusta Haskins Award Invitational and Stitch Intercollegiate showpieces.
After turning professional in 2019, Young went onto win seven titles, three of which came on the PGA Tour.
Noted as his biggest achievement of his career so far, Young won the 2026 Players Championship, finishing one stroke ahead of Matt Fitzpatrick on 15 March.
Young then followed up with a win at the 2026 Cadillac Championship on 3 May, as he ended the course six strokes ahead of top contender Scottie Scheffler.
The New York-born star is also a two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner after bagging success at the AdventHealth Championship and Evans Scholars Invitational in May 2021.
