Fabio Quartararo will be looking to win the
Catalan Grand Prix for the second time in his career when he competes in the race on June 5.
The Yamaha rider endured a disappointing race in last year's Catalan MotoGP as he finished sixth having started the event 10th on the grid.
Quartararo, who is the reigning MotoGP world champion, came close to winning the recent Italian MotoGP on May 29 as he finished second.

Nicknamed El Diablo, Quartararo applied constant pressure on Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati and did an impressive job to finish second after starting sixth.
Bagnaia ended up winning the Italian MotoGP, while Aprilia rider Aleix Espargaro secured the third spot following an memorable race at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello.
Quartararo is still leading the rider's standings while Espargaro and Enea Bastianini of Ducati are placed second and third respectively as the race for the 2022 MotoGP world title continues.
El Diable will be hoping to consolidate his lead at the top of the standings by winning the Catalan MotoGP having won this race in 2020.

“It was basically the best race of my career, to be honest,” said Quartararo after the Italian MotoGP.
“I was feeling bad all weekend, then I made an amazing start … before the race I had nothing to lose because my pace was not so good.
“I was riding at my best today and I'm so happy. In France, it's Mother's Day, so I want to wish a good one to my mother.”
Ducati are placed at the top of the Manufacturers' Championship standings and they are followed by Yamaha and Aprilia respectively.
