The 2022-23 Premier League season had its fair share of twists and turns, and ultimately, Manchester City were crowned champions.

From title contenders Arsenal FC collapsing to Aston Villa and Brighton and Hove Albion playing some beautiful football, it was a memorable campaign.

While Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC endured a disappointing campaign - failing to finish in the top four, Newcastle United and Manchester United were made to sweat for their top four spots.

Without much ado, let us take a look at the five best players in the 2022-23 Premier League season.

Bukayo Saka

The 21-year-old carried Arsenal's ambitions of winning the league championship - scoring 14 goals while also impressing with his creativity as he provided 11 assists.

Saka was named Premier League Player of the Month for March 2023 and he was also nominated for the league's Player of the Season accolade.

The England international is now considered one of the best wingers in the league.

Marcus Rashford

The 2022-23 term proved to be the Manchester United star's best season since he turned professional in 2015 having rediscovered his scoring form.

Rashford hit the back of the net 17 times and he won more Premier League Player of the Month accolades than any player in the league during the campaign.

The England star scooped the awards in September 2022, January 2023 and February 2023.

Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgian playmaker impressed once again with his creativity and consistency as Manchester City dominated and clinched their third consecutive league title.

De Bruyne created more goals (16 assists) than any other player in the competition and he scooped the Premier League Playmaker of the Season award for the third time.

The world-class midfielder's combination with Erling Haaland was key to the Citizens' title success.

Harry Kane

The 2022-23 campaign saw the Tottenham Hotspur star hit a few milestones while already considered among the greatest strikers to have ever graced the Premier League.

Kane finished second to Erling Haaland, with 30 goals, becoming the first player to score 30 times in two separate 38-game Premier League seasons.

The world-class forward also became the first player to score 185 goals in the Premier League for a single club and he is currently on 213.

Erling Haaland

Hailed by some as the best striker in the world, the Manchester City hitman took the Premier League by storm as he scored goals with ease and set records.

Haaland won the league's Golden Boot as the league's top scorer, and with 36 goals from 35 appearances - setting the record for the highest number of goals scored in a Premier League season to date.

The Norwegian star also won two Premier League Player of the Month accolades while also scooping the league's Young Player of the Season and Player of the Season awards.
