Sergio Perez will be hoping to record his third win of the 2023 Formula One World Championship season by winning the
Spanish Grand Prix.

The Red Bull Racing-RBPT driver endured a disappointing race at the Monaco Grand Prix on May 28 as he finished 16th with his title hopes taking a knock.
Starting the race in P20 on the narrow Monegasque streets, Perez struggled to make progress, ultimately finishing two laps down on the winner and teammate Max Verstappen.
Formula One title ambitions
The 2022 Formula One world championship third-place finisher is placed second on the World Drivers' Championship standings having accumulated 105 points from six races.
Perez, who previously drove for Sauber, McLaren, Force India, and Racing Point, is 39 points behind leader Verstappen as the battle for the championship continues.

Why Perez could win the 2023 Spanish GP
The Guadalajara-born star has good memories of the Circuit de Catalunya as he finished second at last year's Spanish Grand Pix.
Having won this season's Saudi Grand Prix and Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Perez will be looking to clinch his third win of the campaign and get his title ambitions back on track.
What did he say?
“It was a really difficult day out there,” said Perez after his incident-filled race at the 2023 Monaco Grand Pix.
“Everything that could have gone wrong went [wrong] and I’m really sad with the performance – but not of today basically but yesterday, with my mistake. We knew that this was the price we were going to pay.”
“I knew my mistake yesterday was very costly and that was 25 points, so very disappointed. I still have some hope, but I know that I cannot afford another [issue] in the championship, so I really hope I can be back to my normal level in Barcelona.”
