Francesco Bagnaia will be eager to become the first rider to win back-to-back
Dutch TT Assen titles since Valentino Rossi won the race in 2005 and 2004.

The Ducati (Lenovo Team) rider settled for the runner-up spot at the recent German MotoGP on June 18 as he finished second following an enthralling race.
Bagnaia, who is nicknamed Pecco, started on the first grid, but he slipped up and his Ducati teammate Jorge Martin beat him to the chequered flag.

Pecco was in his element at last year's Dutch TT Assen as he started in the first grid and he maintained his lead - winning the race comfortably.
It was the Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer's best performance in this race having finished sixth in 2021, missing the event in 2020 and finishing 14th on debut in 2019.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2023 Dutch TT Assen
Bagnaia remains the man to beat as he is placed at the top of Riders' standings and he is determined to retain the MotoGP world championship.
Pecco, who has won three races in the current MotoGP campaign, will be oozing with confidence when he competes at the TT Circuit Assen after winning last year's race.
What did he say?
"I really enjoyed the race. Was more fun than yesterday and it was a really intense battle. I tried everything but Jorge was faster," Bagnaia said after the German MotoGP.
"Maybe in the last laps I was a bit more competitive but I didn’t have the chance to try and overtake. I tried to be in a better position with two laps to go but I touched him and I lost a bit. But I’m happy with everything.
"The step we did yesterday was really big and we have to be happy with that. "I tried to be in the front to open a gap but I was a bit too conservative with the rear and he was pushing. I want to do everything from my side of the box and I know if everything works well then we can fight for a title."
