Rory McIlroy will be keen to become the first golfer to win the
RBC Canadian Open three times in a row when he tees off at the Oakdale Country Club.
What to know about McIlroy
The Northern Irish superstar is a successful golfer having won five major titles - namely the US Open, PGA Championship, Open Championship and PGA Championship twice.
Nicknamed Wee-Mac, McIlroy has also clinched 23 PGA Tour tournaments including three Tour Championship titles and three Wells Fargo Championship trophies.

Wee-Mac participated in the recent Memorial Tournament where he secured a top 10 finish - finishing seventh having also finished seventh at the 2023 PGA Championship.
The two-time PGA Tour leading money winner is currently placed third on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) as he looks to reclaim the top spot.
Why McIlroy is among the favourites
The 34-year-old always brings his A-game when he competes in the RBC Canadian Open having won the last two tournaments.
In 2019, McIlroy won the event by seven strokes. Wee-Mac then successfully defended his title in 2022 - shooting a final-round 62 to win by two shots ahead of Tony Finau.
