Fondly known as ‘Patty Ice’, Patrick Cantlay will have the opportunity to better his 12th place finish at the Travelers Championship when he sets out at the Detroit Golf Club for the Rocket Classic this week.

Now at the age of 33, Cantlay has come a long way from his time as a prolific amateur player, where he once held the number one spot in the World
Amateur Golf Ranking for 55 weeks
Since then, Cantlay went on to win eight PGA Tour titles, with the most recent being the BMW Championship in 2022.
Some of Cantlay’s best finishes in Major Championships include a T3 placing at the 2019 PGA Championship and also, a T3 spot at the 2024 US Open.
What did he say
Speaking during his 12th place finish at the Travelers Championship, Cantlay expressed how he discarded the crowd noise on the course.
"Yeah, I don't hear too much of it. I'm sure they are [saying things], but when I'm out there, I'm just so focused on the golf," Cantlay uttered.
