Netherlands will get their
2026 World Cup qualifying campaign underway against Finland at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on Saturday, June 7.
The Oranje did not feature in the March qualifiers as they were involved in the UEFA Nations League, losing to Spain on penalties (5-4) in the quarter-finals following a 5-5 draw on aggregate.
Ronald Koeman's side had qualified for the knockout stage as runners-up to Germany in Group A3 with a record of two wins, three draws and one loss.
The Dutch were one of the favourites to win the title in Qatar three years ago, but they fell to eventual champions Argentina in a shootout at the quarter-final stages.
The Eagle-owls are still unbeaten in Group G after picking up four points from their opening two matches to sit two behind Poland in second place.
Jacob Friis' side kicked off proceedings with a 1-0 victory over Malta in Ta' Qali on March 21 before being held to a 2-2 draw by Lithuania in Kaunas three days later.
The Nordic nation are bidding to qualify for the global showpiece for the first time in their history, but the likelihood of them picking up any points against the Netherlands is slim as they've lost 10 of their 11 match-ups.
Jeremie Frimpong was outstanding against La Roja in March and Koeman praised the right-back for causing the opposition problems with his speed down the flank.
"Amazing. Jeremie was one we'd discussed; if you can find him quickly and he can approach a full-back, he's lethal," the Dutchman said.
"To keep his eyes open, especially before the second goal... He is a big threat and pressures well. His speed is an amazing weapon."
