Pedro Acosta heads to the Czechia MotoGP motivated to bounce back and secure his maiden victory of the 2026 season.

At the Hungarian MotoGP on 7 June, the Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer delivered a battling performance, finishing second behind Marc Márquez.
Acosta fought hard throughout the main race, engaging in an exciting duel with the eight-time champion, and showed strong race pace on the KTM.
MotoGP ambitions
The 22-year-old sits fourth in the 2026 MotoGP Riders' standings with 132 points.
Nicknamed "El Tiburón de Mazarrón" (The Shark of Mazarrón), Acosta trails championship leader Marco Bezzecchi by around 48 points.
Why Acosta could win the Czechia MotoGP
Brno features a mix of fast sweeping corners, elevation changes, and technical sections that should suit the Red Bull KTM’s handling, potentially giving Acosta an edge over his rivals.
Last year at the same circuit in 2025, the Shark of Mazarrón showed strong pace and finished on the podium (third place).
With that experience, Acosta will look to go one step better, secure his first win of 2026 and boost his ambitions of winning the 2026 MotoGP world championship.
