Daniel Agyei Profile, Stats and Career Overview

Daniel Agyei is a Ghanaian right winger who plays for Kocaelispor. Born on 1 June 1997 in London, England, Agyei is a left-footed attacker who can operate as a winger, forward or central attacking option.

Career Progression

Agyei developed in English football before moving into senior football with Burnley. He made Premier League appearances during the 2016/17 season and gained regular first-team experience through loan spells.

He played for Coventry City during the 2016/17 season, featuring in League One, FA Cup and EFL Trophy matches. Agyei later joined Walsall on loan and added more League One appearances, goals and domestic cup involvement.

His career continued with Blackpool before he joined Oxford United. At Oxford, Agyei played across League One, FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy fixtures.

Agyei then moved to Crewe Alexandra, where he became a regular attacking player in League Two and produced a strong league goal return. He joined Leyton Orient in 2023 and contributed across League One and domestic cup competitions.

In 2025, Agyei moved to Kocaelispor, where he began playing in the Süper Lig. His 2025/26 league season included regular starts, more than 2,000 minutes and goals from wide attacking positions.

Playing Style

Agyei operates mainly as a right winger, with additional experience as a forward and left winger. His role includes attacking movement, pressing, ball carrying, chance creation and finishing.

His strengths include attacking movement, ball carrying, left-footed finishing, pressing, forward link-up play and wide attacking support. He gives his team a flexible attacking option who can play from wide areas or move into central scoring positions.

What Daniel Agyei Can Bring to the 2026 World Cup

Daniel Agyei could bring direct attacking movement, physicality and wide forward flexibility to Ghana’s 2026 World Cup squad. His club experience across England and Turkey gives him exposure to different levels, styles and attacking roles.

His strengths suit tournament football because he can press defenders, carry the ball forward, attack space and offer a left-footed goal threat from wide areas. His ability to play across forward positions gives Ghana extra tactical flexibility.

If selected, Agyei could offer Ghana a wide forward option with senior experience, physical presence and attacking variety. His movement, ball carrying and finishing make him useful when Ghana need directness and support in transition.

International Career

Agyei represents Ghana at senior level. He received his first Ghana call-up in March 2026 and has one senior cap for the national team.
