England and Ghana will meet in a 2026 World Cup Group L clash on 23 June as the Three Lions look to secure early knockout qualification with a win.
Current Form
England claimed a 4-2 win against Croatia in their Group L opener on June 17, extending their unbeaten run to three matches across all competitions.
Ghana, on the other hand, secured a 1-0 victory over Panama in their Group L opener on June 18 and they are undefeated in two matches.
Head-to-head
The two nations have met once in a senior friendly, drawing 1-1 in 2011.
This will be England and Ghana's first-ever competitive encounter at the World Cup.
Team News
England midfielder Declan Rice is expected to be available despite a hamstring issue, but Bukayo Saka is unlikely to start due to an Achilles problem. Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham are fit.
Meanwhile, Ghana will be without Lawrence Ati-Zigi (groin injury) for the rest of the group stage. However, Thomas Partey is now available after a visa issue against Panama, and Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo are all fit.

"But today our players showed, as I said yesterday, they are ready to play. We needed to be patient because we knew they would tire.
