World no. 13 Chris Gotterup is the highest-ranked player in the field for the John Deere Classic from 2-5 July.
The American is enjoying a fine season and has already won two events on the PGA Tour, only one of four players to achieve that feat in the opening six months of 2026.
Gotterup made a winning start to the year with his success at the Sony Open in Hawaii and added the Phoenix Open to his growing list of accolades one month later.
The 26-year-old now boasts four PGA Tour titles since he turned professional in 2022 and finished in the top 10 at the PGA Championship (T10) in May.
Gotterup placed T43 at the US Open most recently and did not compete at the Travelers Championship which was the last event on the calendar before the JDC.
The 2022 Haskins Award and Jack Nicklaus Award winner admitted his victory at the 2025 Scottish Open changed his career outlook, having beaten playing partner Rory McIlroy by two strokes.
"It totally changed my whole perspective on myself," Gotterup said. "I'd been playing well. I'd been in the top 25 almost every week for like eight weeks leading into that event. Never in contention, really, but I felt good about what I was doing.
"Then to get thrown into the fire, playing in the final group with Rory and Wyndham Clark in Europe, I told myself that day I needed to bring it. I ended up playing great and felt like I was ready for the moment.
"Winning the Scottish gave me a level of confidence, knowing I had just beaten guys who have won 10 or 20 times on Tour. It proved to me I could do it. It was a huge, huge step in the right direction."
