The
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night 170 will take place at the Ginásio Nilson Nelson in Brasília, Brazil on Sunday morning.
The highly-anticipated event will be headlined by a lightweight bout between Kevin Lee and Charles Oliveira.
Lee, who is former interim lightweight title challenger, is an American fighter and he is ranked number eight in the UFC lightweight rankings.
Brazilian fighter Oliveira holds the record for the most submission wins in UFC's history at 13 and he is number 13 in the organization's lightweight division.
Combat Press writer Andrew Sumian has backed Lee as he believes that the 27-year-old fighter has improved.
"Lee is currently averaging four significant strikes per minute, an impressive three takedowns per bout, and an 81 percent takedown-defence rate," Sumian said on Combat Press.
"To put it simply, there is nowhere that Olivera can really threaten the experienced and physically imposing Lee in this bout.
"Lee will mix in his improved striking, score a takedown, and pound away until the referee has seen enough."
Meanwhile, a welterweight bout between Brazilian fighter Demian Maia and his compatriot, Gilbert Burns is set to take place at Fight Night 170.
Maia is regarded as one of the greatest grapplers in MMA history, while Burns is a three-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion.
A women's strawweight bout between American fighter Paige VanZant and Brazilian mixed martial artist Amanda Ribas was scheduled for the event.
However, VanZant was forced to pull out of the fight due to an undisclosed injury and she has been replaced by Iraqi-born Canadian fighter Randa Markos.
