The 2022
Corales Puntacana Championship is scheduled to be played in Punta Cana, La Altagracia, the Dominican Republic between 24 and 27 March.
Having been established in 2016 as a Web.com Tour event, the tournament transitioned to a PGA Tour alternate event (opposite the WGC Match Play in Texas, USA), starting in March 2018.
It is the first PGA Tour event held in the Dominican Republic and it is similar in rewards to other alternate events, but no invitation to the Masters' Tournament if you win.
Joel Dahmen is the defending champion having won the Corales Puntacana Championship trophy last year as he closed with a 2-under 70 on the windswept seaside course.
This year's field is headlined by the likes of Jimmy Walker, Danny Willett, Bill Haas, Nick Taylor, Tyler Duncan, Sung Kang, Martin Trainer and more.
It will be a 120-player field and the event is scheduled to be played out over four days, with this event marking the 23rd tournament of the 2021-22 PGA Tour schedule.
Former Corales Puntacana Championship winners Brice Garnett, Nate Lashley, Graeme McDowell and Hudson Swafford will also be part of this year's field.

"After a successful stint with the Korn Ferry Tour, the tournament was elevated to a PGA TOUR event in 2018.
