Yamaha's reigning world champion Fabio Quartararo will be targeting his first win at the Qatar
Grand Prix when the 2022 MotoGP World Championship gets underway on Sunday, March 6.
The Frenchman won his maiden MotoGP title in 2021 after finishing 26 points ahead of Ducati's Francesco Bagnaia in the rider's standings.

Quartararo secured 10 podium finishes last season, of which five were victories - the Doha Grand Prix, the Portuguese Grand Prix, the Italian Grand Prix, the Dutch TT and the British Grand Prix.
However, the 22-year-old has yet to win at the Losail International Circuit; he came fifth last time out and 16th in 2019.

Quartararo admitted he had pushed the 2022 Yamaha "to the limit" in the final pre-season test at Mandalika, but felt his lap times weren't as good as he'd expected.
"So this morning I was pretty fast but not feeling so great, so I was not so happy," he told Autosport. "This afternoon the conditions were really similar, so I was happy because more than the lap time my feeling was much better.
"But we arrived at the limit, unfortunately. I felt on the limit everywhere. The lap time improved but I expected it to be a bit better. But let's see, Qatar will be another story. But from my side I'm 100 per cent ready."
